What they are
Cookies are small files stored in your browser to remember information. They do not harm your device and cannot extract information from it.
Which ones we use
Necessary cookies (cannot be disabled): they allow the site and the booking engine to work (keeping your date selection, your booking in progress, your language and your choice in the cookie notice).
Analytics cookies (require your consent): they tell us how many people visit the site, which pages they view and from where, in an aggregated way. We use Google Analytics ( https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Google advertising cookies (require your consent): they tell us which Google ad brought you here and whether you ended up booking, so we can measure and improve our ads. We use Google Ads ( https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads).
Meta pixel (always on): it measures which Facebook or Instagram ad brought you here and whether
you ended up booking, so we can measure and improve our ads. It sets the cookies _fbp and
_fbc and works whatever you choose in the cookie notice (
https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/).
If you do not want Meta to measure you, you can delete and block this site's cookies or use a tracker blocker in
your browser (see «How to disable them»).
If you choose «Only necessary» we do not set Google's analytics or advertising cookies: only anonymous, aggregated signals are sent, which cannot be used to recognise you or track you across sites. The Meta pixel stays on.
Our own ad measurement: if you arrive from an ad, we store in your browser the identifier that
Google or Meta add to the link and a short code (for example [ref:ABC234]). If you message us on
WhatsApp from the site, that message comes pre-written with a greeting based on the ad you came from
(Hi 👋 or Hi 🔥) and with the short code at the end. This tells us which ad led to your
enquiry or booking. You can delete the greeting and the code before sending it. We keep it in your browser's
storage and in a first-party cookie (melo_attr, 90 days), so the code is not lost if you come back
days later. It is our own data, it does not set third-party cookies and we keep it with your booking; it applies
whatever you choose in the notice.
Third-party cookies: if social media content is embedded, those platforms may set their own cookies. Check their policies:
- Instagram/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies/
- YouTube: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/cookie-policy
How to disable them
You can refuse or delete cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). If you refuse them, the site keeps working, but some features (such as the booking engine) may be limited.
